The village is situated south of the town of Provadia.In the past this village was a rich settlement with interesting history. Here there are many Thracian burial mounds, ruins of Thracian and Roman settlements. During the 16th century the village has been the center of a big Dubrovnik colony. The unique stone church "St. Theodore" from the XVI-XVII centuries is located in the village.
