The village is situated in the south-eastern part of Bulgaria, 45km (eastern) from the town of Yambol, at the foot of the Manastirski elevations. The village was established in 1700 – 1720 years. The first school was built up in 1811. The construction of the church began in 1800. The village is located in the Tundzha municipality – the second largest municipality of Bulgaria.
The Tundzha municipality covers the western part of a region with administrative centre – Yambol and abuts upon the municipalities – Sliven, Straldja, Elhovo, Nova Zagora and Topolovgrad. The relief is flat and slightly hilly. The climate is temperate in the region. The following rivers: Tundja, Kalnitsa and Mychyritsa pass through the area of the Municipality.
