The village is situated in South-East Bulgaria and it is part of Bourgas Municipality, Bourgas District. The village lies at the foot of three identical hills. The legend tells it that three extremely beautiful sisters lived in this region during the times when Bulgaria was under the Ottoman rule. A Turkish Pasha was physically attracted to them. The sisters prayed to God to be saved from the destiny in store for them. Their prayer came true and God turned them into these three hills. The Chapel of St Petka is located on another hill overlooking the sea, Bourgas and most of the surroundings. The Mineral Baths of Bourgas, whose water rises hot (45 degrees centigrade) and is famous for its healing properties, is 5 km away from the village.
