The town is in Bourgas District located in South-East Bulgaria and is included in Municipality Bourgas. It is situated 15km from town of Aytos and 50km from Sunny beach resort and 21km northwest of city of Burgas. It has a rich history. A few discoveries have been made in the town such as: settlement mounds, remains from prehistoric settlements from the Bronze and Iron ages and from the Ancient Times.
