The village is located in South-East Bulgaria and is included in the Municipality Bourgas. It is 15km away from Bourgas. The village is very well known for health holidays because of the closeness to the spa resort Burgas Mineral Baths (1.5km). There are balneological sanatoriums with mineral water. The air is fresh and clean - there is a pine forest near the village (3km). There is a church, shops and cafeterias, pharmacy and a doctor.

The administrative center - city of Bourgas is the fourth largest city in Bulgaria. The Port of Bourgas is the biggest seaport in the country. The region is one with a best developed industry in Bulgaria - oil refinery, machines building, cables production, ship yards, food industry, harbour - totally 35 big industrial plants. One of the biggest industrial plants on the Balkan Peninsula, Neftochim-EAD, is located in the vicinity of the city. A Duty Free Zone was established in 1989 with the objective to create most attractive conditions for foreign investors.
