The charming village is located in North-East Bulgaria. It is part of Provadia Municipality, Varna District. The village is situated south of the town of Provadia, on the road Varna – Devnya – Manastir – Provadia.

In the past the village was a rich settlement with interesting history. Here there are many Thracian burial mounds, ruins of Thracian and Roman settlements. During the 16th century the village of Dobrina has been the center of a big Dubrovnik colony. The unique stone church "St. Theodore" from the XVI-XVII centuries is located in the village.

The picturesque location of the village and its rich cultural and historical past make it an attractive place for recreation and tourism. It is famously known as the chestnuts village.
